
Aero Club President Nissen Davis attended the annual enshrinement ceremony of the National Aviation Hall of Fame in Dayton, Ohio July 18, where two Howard Hughes Memorial Award honorees headlined the program. Eileen Collins, HHMA's 2006 honoree, was enshrined, while 2003 HHMA honoree Neil Armstrong presented the late Ed White's enshrinement medal to his children. Eleven of the Aero Club's HHMA honorees are included in the Hall's 203 honorees.

Two days later, Armstrong appeared at the White House with President Obama and fellow Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins for a commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing.
