When the Aero Club presented its 2009 Howard Hughes Memorial Award to Bob Hoover at a banquet on Feb. 4, 2010 the silver award medallion was handed to Hoover by two longtime colleagues and former recipients, Neil Armstrong and Gen. Chuck Yeager.  Their remarks, and Hoover's response, which together evoked some fascinating events in American aviation history, can be seen below.
