Event: Our Annual General Meeting, to include election of directors, and Scholarship Award presentation. This will be a joint dinner meeting with area members of the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics), with a distinguished guest speaker, AIAA’s national president, George K. Muellner.

His topic will be the crucial need in the aviation and aerospace industries for trained young people. It will be SCAA’s final event of this year.

 

When: Friday evening, November 14, 2008. Social hour at 6:00 p.m., buffet dinner at 7:00 p.m., speaker at 7:30 p.m.

 

Where: Flight Path Museum (the red building), 6661 W. Imperial Highway, on the south boundary of the LAX Airport.

Cost: $40 per person for SCAA members and their guests. Price includes buffet dinner plus your choice of wine, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. Free parking is available at the site.

Event: Our 30th presentation of SCAA’s annual Howard Hughes Memorial Award. Gala banquet at the Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles. Honoree will be Dr. Ronald D. Sugar, chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman Corp.
