Arthur W. McAllister, Jr.

Treasurer

Arthur McAllister, Treasurer, is a retired financial professional. He holds a BA degree​ from University of Colorado and an MBA from UCLA.


His financial career commenced with Citibank in New York and Johannesburg, followed​ by Crocker Bank and First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles. His 23 years in banking​ included project finance, tax-exempt financing, corporate finance and corporate​ relationship management.


He left banking to join Merrill Lynch as a client relationship manager, earning the​ designation of Certified Financial Planner@. He later moved to Raymond James &​ Associates, from which he retired in 2015.


He joined the Aero Club of Southern California as Treasurer and Board Member in​ 2010, with primary responsibility for The Club’s financial matters and management of​ the investment portfolio.


He served in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam era, including 2 combat tours offshore​ and one year in-country, and remains active in veteran affairs. He founded and​ managed a local veterans’ group for nearly 15 years, providing camaraderie among​ former servicemen. In addition, he serves as Treasurer of the local chapter of the Military​ Officers Association of America.


Other community activity includes many years on the Board of the San Pedro &​ Peninsula YMCA, as well as service on the Board of the Palos Verdes Peninsula​ Chamber of Commerce.
