Robert C. Ettinger, Colonel, USAF (Ret.) recently retired as the Manager of Flight Test for Northrop Grumman’s Unmanned System High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) programs. Prior positions with Northrop Grumman include 10 years as the Manager of Flight Test for the highly successful Global Hawk program.
Robert has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Ohio State University.
He served 27-1/2 years in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot, combat pilot, experimental test pilot and flight test manager. His last position in the USAF was Vice Commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) at Edwards AFB, CA.
Since retiring from the USAF in 1987, Robert has held a variety of positions in the aerospace industry as an engineer, test pilot, manager, and consultant.
