Arthur W. McAllister serves as Secretary and Treasurer of The Aero Club of Southern California. He joined the Board in 2010.
Art attended the University of Colorado under a Naval ROTC scholarship, earning a degree in Asian Studies. His assignments in the U.S. Navy included a year-long combat tour in South Vietnam and operational roles on surface warfare vessels.
Following his military service, Art earned an MBA in Management at UCLA. He began a career in corporate and international banking, with assignments in New York, Johannesburg, and Los Angeles.
After 25 years in that industry, Art joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. He earned credentials as Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor before leaving in 2009 to join Raymond James & Associates, from which he retired in 2015.
Art is married with two adult children. In addition to The Aero Club, his volunteer involvement includes service on the Board of Managers for the San Pedro and Peninsula YMCA, co-founder of Peninsula Veterans Group, and membership in Military Officers Association of America.
