John Durant is a retired Division Director of Personnel and Contracts at International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. Following his service in WWII with the 9th Air Force in Europe and Berlin Airlift, Mr. Durant worked for many years on aerospace contracts at NASA facilities, including on the Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs.
Other notable locales from his resume include Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Cape Kennedy, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Edwards Air Force Base, Goddard Space Flight Center, European Space Agency, and various divisions of ITT Corp.
Mr. Durant is a longtime Director of the Aero Club of Southern California and chairman of the club’s scholarship committee. His is a longtime active member of Experimental Aircraft Associations Chapter 1 and 376, and a past President and Director of the Central Valley Aviation Association.
In addition to his vast life experience, Mr. Durant holds a B.S. in Business from The University of Maryland, an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and two years of Law School at Antioch College.
